if a honeybee stings you they leave their stinger and their entrails behind. so you get stung and hurt, but they die. because you can't live with only half your body still intact. not if you're a honeybee.
the most important thing to do when you get stung is to take the stinger out and get rid of it. if you don't take it out immediately, then you run the risk of a worse local reaction or maybe even a systemic reaction.
and if you leave it there to rot in your skin forever then you're an idiot and stings of years past will come back to ruin your otherwise peachy health present health.
the trick is: pinch, pull, DISCARD.
