Birthday cake + italian food

So I thought I'd do a good deed, or maybe two good deeds. Namely toot the horn of some local businesses that I believe deserve a chance to flourish.

1) Vanilla Bakery, Kajang

Really nice lady owner who makes really good mille crepe cake-- she asked me to pass some fliers to my friends but I told her I'd blog about it instead. She misunderstood and thought my sign language for typing was playing the piano I guess, and I ended up taking home some fliers anyway. I got a steal of a deal, and got two 1.3kg cakes for RM30 each, but the cakes were a hit and I wouldn't mind paying the full retail price of RM85 if the right occasion came by.

Voila! The Chocolate Surpreme mille crepe cake, which even my non-dessert loving husband loved as well.

and then the second horn I'd toot is for

2) Al Dente, Presint 4 Putrajaya

Don't judge the food by the picture of my face-- I was actually having a bad sore throat which would letter develop into a flu. But the food was good so I sucked it up. Also it was free. And hence, it was GREAT food. Thanks Tun and Iza! Hehehehe.

I went to the Italian place again today and the same French/Dutch guy who served us that day, waited for my table too today. And he asked about the free cake. Later the chef came out and asked me the same question. I told them I had no idea because we decided to give it to you & I didn't get a chance to ask you about it. So now dear Kye, how did the cake taste like? Was it good?

Haha oh dear. I had so much cake those few days and I wasn't so well, so I didn't get to eat it until 2-3 days later. and by then well some part of the cake was masam, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be or if it had turned bad! Either way the trash can ate most of the cake :(
