The devastation

I made the mistake of rereading Possession.

It was amazing how little I remembered the contents of a 555 page book-- and how strongly I remembered what little I remembered.

Despite this, the ending-- which might well be the most devastating and most beautiful four pages of literature ever written--still assaulted with a vengeance, shocking and wounding what should have been solid scar tissue.

Sheer genius.

And now I am in a heap of snot trying to sort out a workshop module.

How can we bear it, indeed. And yet we must. We do.
